US, Hungary sign Trump Peace Pipelines Memorandum

The United States and Hungary signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday to strengthen regional oil and natural gas infrastructure, expand access to American energy, and diversify supplies across Central and Eastern Europe.

Axar.az reports that Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orban announced in a Facebook post following a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington that the memorandum was signed under the Trump Peace Pipelines Framework.

"We have signed two important cooperation agreements with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Under the Trump Peace Pipelines Framework cooperation agreement, we will strengthen our cooperation in developing regional natural gas and oil infrastructure.

The second agreement aims to enhance law enforcement cooperation and information sharing related to crimes committed by radical organizations, further deepening joint efforts between the two countries in internal affairs and law enforcement," the post read.
