Chaos in Lebanon: People protest for devaluation

Protests resume in Lebanon.

Axar.az reports that the reason for the protests was the sharp devaluation of the national currency.

Thus, $ 1 in the country has reached 10,000 Lebanese pounds. This, in turn, has led to an increase in gasoline and food prices.

Protests in the country began simultaneously in Beirut, Tripoli, Syd and other cities. The protesters demanded that the government prevent the price increase.

The government also reacted to the protests. Lebanese President Michel Aoun said the protests were fair and legal. He demanded that the Central Bank immediately explain the reasons for the devaluation.
