Russia wants to strengthen Yerevan with "UAV hunters"

The unified air defense system of the CIS countries will be strengthened by means of combating unmanned aerial vehicles.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Commander of the Russian Air Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Yuri Grekhov.

He said that in the framework of the development of the CIS integrated air defence system, it is planned to further develop the regulatory framework, as well as training in this area.

Grekhov said that the next exercise of the combined forces will be held in 2022.

The joint air defence system of the CIS countries includes Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan (CSTO members) and Uzbekistan.
