In a statement on Twitter, the Israeli army said that after the launch of an anti-aircraft missile from Syria, sirens sounded in the Samaria region and Umm Al-Fahm, and the missile exploded in the air without any intervention.
Axar.az reports that according to the statement, shortly after this missile was fired, the infrastructures in Syria, which were used to target Israeli planes, were hit. It was reported that a radar system and an air defence battery were among the targets.
Sana news agency, on the other hand, announced that the Syrian air defence systems were activated due to Israel's missile attacks around Damascus. The news said that one soldier died, five soldiers were injured and material damage occurred.
It was reported that the attack by Israeli warplanes and surface-to-ground missiles took place around 1 am on Wednesday. "Our air defence system countered the enemy's missiles and shot down some of them," a Syrian military source said.
