At least 21 people, including five children, were injured when Russian forces bombed Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, and its surrounding region, according to Ukrainian officials on Monday.

Axar.az reports that , citing Reuters, thirteen people were wounded in separate strikes on an apartment building and a storage facility in Kharkiv, while another eight were injured in the nearby city of Chuhuiv, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov reported.

Prosecutors indicated that Kharkiv was hit with guided bombs and Chuhuiv was targeted by a multiple rocket-launch system.

Additionally, two people were killed in Kherson late on Sunday due to Russian shelling in the city center.
