Armenia's land relations with Russia were cut off

Georgia is temporarily closing its border with the Russian Federation due to heavy rains.

Axar.az reports the statement came from the Ministry of Finance.

It is reported that the road in the direction of the Georgian-Russian border was closed today due to the flood in the Terek River in Upper Lars.

"As a result of heavy rains, the Terek River overflowed and destroyed the highway between Georgia and Russia," the Georgian Department of Motor Roads said.

The 136th kilometer of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway was damaged.

It should be noted that this road is the only land highway connecting Armenia with Russia.
