Currently, there is no need to deploy NATO forces in Finland.

Axar.az reports that this was said by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Pekka Haavisto.

"At present, there is no need to deploy NATO forces in our territory. We support the North Atlantic Alliance's plans to ensure collective security. Finland has a common border with Russia and now it is safe," the minister said.

However, Haavisto added that the Finnish side wants to be prepared for any emergency.

It should be noted that Russian leader Putin warned that NATO military infrastructure will be forced to respond adequately if it is deployed in Sweden and Finland.
