If Iran wants to have a say in the economic field in the region, it needs about 12% economic growth in 10 years.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Vahid Shegaghi Shahri, a well-known Iranian economist and professor at Kharazmi University.

"The economy of Turkiye and Saudi Arabia is developing rapidly and increasing the distance with Iran in this field. Iran is almost isolated from the region," the economist noted.

He said that Turkiye's economy is twice as strong as Iran's and warned that this difference has been increasing rapidly in the last 10 years.
