Ukrainian and Russian forces are fighting over the so-called Boyko Towers, strategically important gas and oil platforms in the Black Sea.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the report of the British Ministry of Defense.

"These platforms, located between Crimea and Odesa, not only control valuable hydrocarbon resources but can also be used for bases, helipads, and long-range missile systems, such as Zmeini Island," the report said.

It was reported that last week Russian warplanes fired at a Ukrainian military boat in the area called "Boyko Towers".

After the Russian invasion in 2022, Ukraine attacked several Russian-controlled platforms. Both Russia and Ukraine seize them from time to time."
