Israel's name has disappeared from online world maps available in China.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the information published by "Wall Street Journal".

It is noted that, in particular, Israel is no longer listed on the maps of China's Baidu search engine and the online maps of "Alibaba's Amap". At the same time, the internationally recognized borders of the country remain intact, only the name is missing. At the same time, the names of all other countries, including small states such as Luxembourg or Monaco, are still displayed correctly.

"This uncertainty is consistent with Beijing's uncertain diplomacy in the region and contrasts with its focus on maps in general," the magazine reported.
