The future Maida has been fighting for has finally just begun, and it is in the European Union.

Axar.az reports that the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said this in her address to the people of Ukraine on the anniversary of the Maidan movement.

"Ten years of merit. Ten years of pride. Ten years of freedom struggle. The cold November nights of Euromaidan changed Europe forever. The whole country took to the streets and spoke with one voice. You said that Ukraine belongs to Europe and our future is with you. Therefore, the Ukrainian people defied the snipers and special forces and covered themselves with European flags. You have decided to own your future. Today it is clearer than before: Ukraine's future is in the European Union," said Leyen.
