Pope Francis thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his efforts for peace in the world.
Axar.az reports that Ali Arbash, the chairman of the Religious Affairs Department of Turkiye, said this after he met with Pope Francis in Rome.
Ali Arbaş said that the Pope emphasized that Recep Tayyip Erdogan is one of the few leaders who has the power for peace in the world and works hard in this regard.
It was stated that the main topic of discussion at the meeting was the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the processes taking place in the Gaza Strip, and the impossibility of permanent peace and stability in the Middle East without resolving the conflict was emphasized.
It should be noted that R.T. Erdogan previously addressed a letter to the Pope regarding Palestine.
