The European People's Party (EPP), of which the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is a member, won first place in the European Parliament (EP) elections.

Axar.az reports that the EP press service announced the preliminary results of the elections in Brussels.

According to information, EPP won 181 votes in the European Parliament. Socialists and Democrats took the second place (135 votes).

It was noted that these are preliminary results.
