Germany is discussing with Tashkent the possibility of repatriating Afghan refugees through Uzbekistan.

Axar.az reports that "Bloomberg" published information about this with reference to sources.

According to information, a delegation of officials on the instructions of German Interior Minister Nancy Feser visited Tashkent at the end of May to discuss the migration and deportation pact.

"A limited number of Afghans who were denied asylum and deported from Germany are planned to be sent to Uzbekistan and then to neighboring Afghanistan. Flights to Kabul will be carried out by a private airline," the information said.

It was noted that the official Tashkent, in turn, wants to include in the agreement bilateral provisions that allow the legal migration of skilled workers from Uzbekistan to Germany. Germany is discussing with Tashkent the possibilities of taking Afghan refugees to their homeland through Uzbekistan.
