Axar.az reports that on October 22, 2020, the village of Agband in the Zangilan region was liberated from occupation.
With this, the Azerbaijan-Iran state border, which had been under occupation for nearly thirty years, has been fully secured.
On that day, along with the village of Agband, the villages of Kolluqišlaq, Malatkeşin, Kənd Zəngilan, Genlik, Vəliqulubəyli, Qaradərə, Çöpədərə, Tatar, Tiri, Əmirxanlı, Qarqulu, Bartaz, and Dəlləkli in the Zangilan region, as well as Mollavəli, Yuxarı Rəfidinli, Aşağı Rəfidinli in the Füzuli region and Sirik, Şıxlar, Məstəlibəyli, and Dərzili in the Jabrayil region were also cleared of enemy forces.

It should be noted that the village of Agband belongs to the administrative territory of the Vejnali village of Zangilan and was occupied by Armenian armed forces in 1993. The village is located on the banks of the Araz River, at the foot of the Agband Mountain. The name of the settlement is derived from the name of the mountain it is located at the foot of.
