There was a magnitude 6 earthquake on the coast of Peru.

Axar.az reports that the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported this.

According to the Center's data, the epicenter of the earthquake was 258 km southeast of the city of Ika with a population of 246,000. The source of the underground tremors is located at a depth of 58 km.

No casualties or damages were reported. No tsunami threat has been declared.
