The EU summit threatened Georgia to stop the process of admission to the Union due to the law "On Foreign Agents".

The adopted law "On the transparency of foreign influence" is a deviation from the recommendations of the European Commission regarding granting Georgia the status of a candidate for EU membership. The EU calls on the Georgian authorities to clarify their intentions and to change the current course of action, which has destroyed Tbilisi's path to the Union and brought the accession process to a virtual standstill," the statement said.
