The decree on the introduction of a tariff quota in the import of goods originating in the Republic of Azerbaijan, where the preferential trade regime is applied by Turkiye, was amended.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a document on this.

According to the amendment, a 100% reduction of the basic tariff rate of a number of beverages within the quota of 15,000 hectoliters is envisaged.

The decree will enter into force on July 1.

It should be recalled that on May 10, within the framework of the renewed Preferential Trade Agreement between Azerbaijan and Turkiye, the number of goods for which customs duties will be mutually reduced was increased.
