Masoud Pezeshkian is the leader in Iran's early presidential elections after the votes have been counted so far.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the spokesman of the country's Election Headquarters, Mohsun Islami.

According to him, after counting 12,058,843 ballots, Masud Pezeshkian is leading with 5,354,000 votes. After him, Said Jalili came second with 4,875,269 votes, Mohammad Bagir Ghalibaf came third with 1,620,628 votes, and Mustafa Purmohammadi came fourth with 95,172 votes.

Said Jalili came second with 7,189,756 votes, Mohammad Bagir Ghalibaf came third with 2,676,512 votes, and Mustafa Purmohammadi came fourth with 158,314 votes.

According to the results, the second round of the elections is scheduled for July 5.

All voter votes in Iran were counted, 24,535,185 ballots were considered valid, and 1,056,159 ballots were considered invalid.

Mohsun Islami, the spokesman of the country's Election Headquarters, said this.

According to him, Masud Pezeshkian is the leader with 10,415,901 votes. Said Jalili took second place with 9,473,298 votes, Muhammad Bagir Ghalibaf took third place with 3,383,340 votes, and Mustafa Purmohammadi took fourth place with 206,397 votes.

Thus, since none of the candidates received more than 50% of the votes of the voters participating in the election, the second round will be held on July 5.

The two candidates with the most votes - Masud Pezeshkian and Said Jalili - will compete in the second round.

It should be noted that there are 61 million 452 thousand 321 voters in Iran.
