Iran is ready to sign a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement with Russia at the BRICS summit in Kazan in October.
Axar.az reports that the new President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian said these words in a telephone conversation with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
"We attach great importance to relations with our friend and neighbor Russia, and we will undoubtedly strengthen these relations," the politician added.
During his conversation with Putin, Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries on the platforms of BRICS, Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and international and regional organizations. He noted that the new government of Iran will make every effort to implement the Iran-Russia agreements reached during the time of President Ibrahim Raisi, who died in a plane crash on May 19.
It should be noted that the phone conversation between Pezeshkian and Putin took place yesterday.
