Armenia has appointed an ambassador to Saudi Arabia for the first time.

Axar.az reports that the office of the President of Armenia has informed about this.

It was reported that the current ambassador of Armenia to the UAE, Karen Grigoryan, will also represent the country in Saudi Arabia.

It should be noted that Saudi Arabia has not established diplomatic relations with Armenia due to the Armenian occupation of Karabakh. After the Azerbaijani army liberated Karabakh from occupation, a document was signed in November of last year regarding the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Armenia.
