The Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris have almost equal levels of voter support.

Axar.az reports that this is confirmed by a survey conducted by the New York Times and the Siena College Research Institute ahead of the debate on September 10.

The survey shows that 48% of respondents support Trump, while 47% support Harris.

Harris is leading in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The candidates have similar levels of support in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina.

The survey was conducted from September 3 to 6 among 1,695 Americans, with a margin of error of 2.8 percentage points.
