Achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is the only way to prevent tension in the Middle East.

Axar.az reports that Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stated this during a phone conversation with his American counterpart, Antony Blinken.

The Egyptian minister emphasized that an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire agreement in Gaza must be reached as soon as possible:

"This requires a very serious approach and a manifestation of real political will from the negotiating parties."

It is noted that a new round of ceasefire negotiations in Gaza is expected to take place in Doha.
