The security guarantee agreement between Belarus and Russia is planned to be signed in December 2024.

Axar.az reports that this was said by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Maksim Ryzhenkov during his speech to the students at the Academy of Management under the President of the country.

"For the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Union State, which we will celebrate in December of this year, we plan to sign an interstate agreement on security guarantees with Russia," the minister said.

He noted that the agreement will reveal the principle of using nuclear and conventional weapons, as well as other methods of defense of both states.
