The 50th anniversary International Cernobbio Forum (TEHA Forum), organized by Italy’s “The European House - Ambrosetti” think tank, under the theme "Today's and Tomorrow's Scenarios for Competitive Strategies," has commenced.
Axar.az reports that the traditional forum, held from September 6 to 8 at Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como, is expected to host Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and Queen Rania of Jordan. Italian President Sergio Mattarella delivered a video message to the international attendees.
The forum will see participation from heads of state and government from six countries, heads of 13 local Italian executive bodies, and 11 ministers, with a total of speakers and guests from 27 countries representing political, academic, institutional, and business sectors. More than 1,300 people work to organize the event, which annually features 300 speakers and is covered by about 400 journalists. The forum generates around 4 million euros of socio-economic impact for Italy and contributes 2 million euros to GDP.
Since 1975, the international event, also known as the Cernobbio Forum, has been held every September, discussing current issues and challenges facing the global economy and societies. The first day typically focuses on global problems in economics, geopolitics, science, and technology. The second day shifts focus to Europe, addressing the most pressing EU-related topics. The third day is dedicated to Italy, featuring participation from government representatives, officials, and key figures from the business and financial sectors.
Additionally, as part of this year's forum, a photo exhibition titled "50 Years of World Perspective" has opened at Villa d'Este.
