Yılmaz to act as president during Erdogan's U.S. visit

Vice President Covdet Yılmaz will temporarily take over the position of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Turkiye.

Axar.az reports that the decision was published in the "Official Gazette".

According to information, the reason for this is Erdogan's planned visit to the United States.

It should be noted that in connection with the visit of the president from September 21 to 26, in accordance with Article 106 of the Turkish constitution, the duties of the president will be performed by the vice president.
