Belarus and Armenia are connected by strong friendship, common history, traditional family and Christian values. Our citizens are united by Victory in the Great Patriotic War, joint heroic elimination of the consequences of the Spitak earthquake, participation in integration structures and close business partnership.

Axar.az reports that these words were reflected in the congratulatory letter of Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko to Armenian President Vaghan Khachatryan on the Independence Day of this country.

"In order to survive in the current environment and continue to grow successfully, we must unite and cooperate. "Minsk will continue to support the expansion of mutual respect and constructive dialogue with Yerevan," said Lukashenko.

It should be noted that Lukashenko congratulated Khachatryan, not Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
