This week's attacks on Lebanon showed the Israeli government's plans to spread the war throughout the region.

Axar.az reports that the Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said these words.

Erdogan said at his press conference in Istanbul that Israel's war in the Gaza Strip will be the main topic of his speech at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday:

"In order to prevent our region from being dragged into a big disaster, the pressure on Israel should be increased."

Erdogan stressed that the time has come for all countries trying to defend world peace to find solutions to stop Israel.

"To put an end to this oppression that has been going on for almost a year, to establish a permanent ceasefire and to ensure the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid, an important responsibility rests on all of us, the whole world, and especially the UN."
