Explosion in Iranian mine claims 28 lives

An explosion has occurred in a mine in the city of Tabas, located in Iran's South Khorasan province.

Axar.az informs that it was reportrd by Pir Hossein Kolivand, head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, the explosion resulted in the deaths of 28 people and injuries to 17 others. Kolivand also reported that 24 individuals are missing. The incident is believed to have been caused by a gas leak.
