In the Republic of South Africa (RSA), an unusual snowfall has created serious problems on the roads.

Axar.az reports that due to the heavy snowfall, thousands of vehicles have become stranded. The government has banned traffic on key highways to prevent the situation from worsening.

In some areas, the snow depth has exceeded 2 meters. As a precaution, the border with neighboring Lesotho has been closed. Numerous trucks and buses are waiting on both sides of the border.

Rescue teams have been delivering food and warm clothing to those stranded on the roads.
