Ukraine has struck a missile depot in the city of Tikhoretsk in the Krasnodar region using the "Palyanitsa" missile-drone.
Axar.az informs that the publication Forbes reported that the targeted depot contained 2,000 tons of munitions, including missiles produced in North Korea. The significant fireball also indicates the scale of the strike. The explosion created a localized seismic event and was visible from space.
The report noted that the consecutive attacks on ammunition depots signify a shift in Ukraine's campaign to deliver deep strikes against strategic targets within Russia: “Kyiv had long sought permission from its allies to strike Russia with 'Storm Shadow,' 'SCALP-EG,' and U.S. missiles, but these requests were consistently denied. Frustrated, Ukrainians have doubled their production of local drones and missiles, allowing them to hit targets within Russia without seeking anyone’s approval. Recent strikes indicate an increase in Ukraine's deep strike capabilities, with the latest raids being more destructive. This points to a more powerful weapon, despite not flying as far as Ukrainian drones. Russians in Toropets claimed to have heard the sound of aircraft engines before the munitions depot exploded. It was 'Palyanitsa.'”
It’s worth noting that the "Palyanitsa" missile-drone conducted its first strike on August 24, successfully destroying a target in Crimea. This missile features a turbojet engine developed through a collaboration between the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
