Since Masoud Pezeshkian's election as president, the price of bread in Iran has increased by a total of 66%.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the “Jemaran” news site.

The site also indicated that a sharp increase in the prices of milk and dairy products is expected soon.

It should be noted that the process of rising bread prices in Iran has been ongoing for two years.

Conservative political factions and candidates linked to Pezeshkian's rivals in the presidential elections claim that price increases have accelerated during the new government’s term.
