Ukrainians and supporters of Ukraine will have to come to terms with the fact that Russia will likely maintain control over the occupied territories for at least a period of time at the end of the war.
Axar.az reports that this opinion was expressed by Czech President Petr Pavel in an interview with the "New York Times."
A former high-ranking NATO general and one of Ukraine's strongest supporters, Pavel believes that the loss of Ukrainian territories is a reality.
According to Pavel, war fatigue is increasing everywhere: "Ukraine must be realistic about the prospects of regaining territories occupied by Russians. The most likely outcome of the war will be that part of Ukraine will temporarily remain under Russian occupation. This temporary occupation could last for years."
