Iran does not want an unstable situation to reign in the Middle East, but the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas political bureau in Tehran, will not go unanswered.

Axar.az reports that Iranian President Masoud Pezekshkian, who is visiting New York, said these words during a meeting with journalists at a round table.

"Hania's murder is against all norms of international law and will certainly not go unanswered. Iran reacted to the attack on its consulate in Damascus when the USA and Western countries supported the Zionist regime.

Iran has proven that it can respond to the crimes of this regime, but we do not want to be a destabilizing factor and disrupt security in the region," the president said.
