Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov participated in the Ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement organized under the chairmanship of Uganda on the theme "Protection of the civilian population during armed conflicts: solidarity with the Palestinian people" within the framework of the high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

Axar.az reports that this was shared on the official X account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The role of the Non-Aligned Movement as a true defender of justice and the rule of law in international relations was emphasized at the meeting:

"Azerbaijan remains committed to further increasing the role and importance of the Non-Aligned Movement as an active member of the Non-Aligned Movement Troika, along with its chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement in 2019-2023, as well as its continuous efforts and initiatives to increase the effectiveness of the Movement. and its sustainable solution should remain a priority on the Movement's agenda until it is solved in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions and the norms and principles of international law".
