On September 23, a tree-planting action was held in the "Youth" park in Khatai district of Baku.

Axar.az reports that Mehriban Aliyeva, the president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, the vice-president of the Foundation, and family members took part in the event.

1000 Eldar pine trees were planted in the action attended by Heydar Aliyev Foundation "Regional Development" Public Union and COP29 volunteers.

It should be noted that the "Youth" park was built on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. In addition to green lanes, entertainment and recreation areas have been created in the park with an area of ​​43 hectares.

It should be recalled that on November 11, 2019, when the "Youth" park was being newly built, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva announced the slogan "Unite for Nature, Unite for Life" of the "Regional Development" Public Union of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. participated in the tree planting action within the project. The head of our state gave relevant instructions regarding the improvement works in this once neglected area.

"Youth" park, which was put into use on August 26, 2021, is not only a comfortable place for people to relax, but also contributes to the ecological environment of the capital.

It should also be noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, headed by First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, pays special attention to the projects implemented at the state level to improve the environmental situation in Azerbaijan. The fund implements various projects for the establishment of new green areas and protection of existing green areas in our country. The recent tree planting action in the territory of "Ganjlik" park was another contribution to the ecological balance.
