After the war, 19 billion manats will be spent until the end of this year. Most of the funds were spent on infrastructure projects. At the same time, efforts are being made to return former displaced persons, and more than eight thousand former displaced persons have already settled in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, and their number will increase every month and every year.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev said these words in his speech at the first session of the 7th convocation Milli Majlis while talking about construction works in Karabakh and East Zangezur.

"Infrastructure projects have reached a very large scale, 3,000 kilometers of highways have been built. Among the general projects, 45 tunnels are planned and the length of these tunnels is 70 kilometers, - that is, opening a tunnel and building a road in those mountains is not an easy task, - the construction of 450 bridges is planned. Railways, two international airports have been commissioned. Energy potential is being strengthened and 270 megawatts of hydropower plants have been put into operation within three years and this process is ongoing. Schools, hospitals, social facilities, villages are built. That is, in short, large-scale works are being carried out for the revival of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur. I don't know if similar restoration work has been done in any country in history. However, this fact also shows that this has always been the most important issue for us - new settlements were built for IDPs during the occupation, and especially in the current conditions," the President noted.
