Workers at Iran's oil and gas facilities in Asaluyeh, Kangan, Jam Bushehr, Lavan, and Siri, as well as on offshore platforms in the Persian Gulf, have begun widespread protest actions.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by the Free Workers Union.

Discontented workers are protesting low wages, non-payment for extra work hours, and violations of their legally guaranteed rights.

The workers are chanting slogans such as “The fair wage law must be implemented” and “Labor contracts must be honored.”
