Georgia urges Kremlin to take action

The Georgian government has proposed that the Kremlin take concrete actions following Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's remarks about helping to improve Georgia's relations with Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Axar.az reports that Kaha Kaladze, the secretary-general of the ruling Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia Party and the mayor of Tbilisi, stated this to reporters.

"I would say it would be good for Lavrov to take effective steps after such statements," he noted.

Kaladze specifically suggested starting plans for the withdrawal of Russian troops from Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
