The restriction on the age at which girls can become pregnant in Iran has been lifted. As a result, 15-year-old girls can now become pregnant.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Ali Reza Raisi, the Deputy Minister of Health of Iran. He mentioned that previously, the term 'dangerous situation' regarding pregnancy at this age in medical textbooks has been replaced with the phrase 'needs special attention.'

It is noted that previously, Iranian officials, including Ali Khamenei, especially religious leaders, have issued directives promoting early marriage to increase the population.

The Iranian government has also provided special privileges and interest-free loans for minors who wish to marry.
