Hurricane Milton, which is predicted to be one of the most destructive hurricanes in the history of the United States, is expected to enter the western coast of Florida in the evening of October 9 local time (in the morning of October 10, Baku time).

Axar.az reports that the speed of the hurricane, which will fall to the 3rd or 4th category when it reaches land, will be 200-210 kilometers per hour.

It has the potential to be one of the strongest hurricanes ever recorded in west and central Florida, according to the US National Hurricane Center.

Evacuation work related to the hurricane started on October 7. The 5.5 million people who live in the areas of Tampa, Sarasota and Fort Myers, which will be most affected by the hurricane, have been ordered to leave their areas.

More than 1,700 flights across the country have been canceled due to the hurricane.
