On October 10-11, the Pre-COP29 Conference of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change will be held in Baku.

Axar.az reports that the conference is titled "Strengthening Ambition and Ensuring Action."

The opening ceremony will feature the designated president of COP29, Mukhtar Babayev, COP28 president Sultan Al Jaber, Deputy Secretary-General of the UN Amina Mohammed, Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Simon Stiell, and Chair of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) Nabil Munir.

During panel discussions, ways to achieve successful outcomes for COP29 will be explored.

The two-day event will take place at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
