The giant U.S. public relations firm 'Edelman PR' is working internationally to 'clean up' and defend separatist Ruben Vardanyan, who is currently imprisoned in Baku.
Axar.az reports that 'Haber Global' has written about this.
According to the information, Vardanyan, who is involved in money laundering, is being supported by 'Edelman PR' alongside Paul Polman, the former CEO of 'Unilever,' in his efforts to 'clean up' his image and secure his release from prison.
Polman worked at 'Unilever' for 10 years, from 2009 to 2019. Interestingly, 'Unilever' also operates in Azerbaijan, and this began during Polman's leadership.
In 2019, Polman founded 'Imagine Consultancy,' a company focused on combating climate change. In 2022, the company was acquired by 'Systemiq,' an environmental consultancy. While Polman attempts to present himself as a 'philanthropist,' his primary activities revolve around illegal lobbying. His involvement in defending Vardanyan is also driven by business interests.
