The crew of the Russian Iskander-M operational-tactical missile complex shot down a unit of the US "Patriot" anti-aircraft missile complex.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Defense of Russia has released information about this.

"The crew of Iskander-M OTRK fired rockets at the positions of the Patriot air defense systems unit in the Pashena Balka settlement of Dnepropetrovsk region. As a result, the "Patriot" air defense system and personnel of the anti-aircraft missile division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit," the Ministry of Defense said.

The Russian Ministry of Defense added that another "Patriot" air defense launcher was damaged.
