A Tu-134 military transport aircraft has caught fire at Russia's Orenburg-2 military airfield.

Axar.az reports that according to the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate, the incident occurred overnight from October 12 to 13, involving a Tu-134 aircraft belonging to the 117th military transport aviation regiment of the Russian Armed Forces.

No information has been provided regarding the cause of the fire.

It is noted that this type of aircraft is used for transporting senior officials of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
