President Joe Biden announced a $600 million aid package for states affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton during a visit to storm-damaged Florida.

Axar.az reports that nearly $100 million will be allocated for improvements to Florida's power system. The announcement comes as the death toll from Hurricane Milton rises to 17, with millions still without power.
Biden addressed misinformation regarding federal relief funds, clarifying that no money is being diverted from disaster response efforts. Meanwhile, Florida lawmakers are seeking more disaster aid, but House Speaker Mike Johnson believes that current funds should be distributed before Congress reconvenes after the upcoming election.
