The United States has never linked a possible peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia to COP29.

Axar.az reports that Matthew Miller, the spokesperson of the US State Department, said this during the briefing.

"We have never linked the agreement to COP29. We wanted to see a peace agreement a few months ago, and we were also trying to get it. However, this is the business of the parties, not the United States," Miller said.

It should be recalled that on September 26, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting in New York at the initiative and participation of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

The parties agreed to make additional efforts to conclude the agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations in the shortest possible time.
