On October 13, I spoke with Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and expressed condolences regarding the deaths of Israeli soldiers resulting from Hezbollah's drone attack.

Axar.az reports that U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin wrote this on his X account.

"I also reiterated the importance of ensuring the safety and security of UN peacekeeping forces and the Lebanese army, emphasizing the necessity of transitioning to a diplomatic approach as quickly as possible regarding military operations in Lebanon," Austin stated.

The Pentagon chief also reaffirmed the U.S. unwavering and steadfast commitment to Israel's security.

It is worth noting that Hezbollah launched a drone strike on the military base south of Haifa yesterday evening, resulting in 67 soldiers injured and 4 soldiers dead.
