Attacks on peacekeepers constitute a violation of international law, including international humanitarian law. Such attacks can be considered a military crime.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

"Regardless of the circumstances, the safety of UN personnel and property must be ensured, and the integrity of the organization's buildings must always be respected. The UN Security Council has authorized the mission in Lebanon," Guterres said.

It should be noted that on October 10 and 12, four members of the UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon were injured due to Israeli strikes. Yesterday, the Israeli army attacked the base of UN peacekeepers, injuring 15 personnel.
