Two earthquakes were recorded today in the north-east of Georgia.

Axar.az reports that the country's National Center for Seismic Monitoring has released information about this.

The tremors were recorded in the mountains near Tianeti regional center, about 60 km from Tbilisi. The first earthquake occurred at 04:53 with a magnitude of 3.9. The second aftershock was registered at 09:03 with a magnitude of 3.8.

The source of the underground tremors is located at a depth of 26 and 15 km.

No damage was reported.
